This clever looking Tube-nosed bat is one of the 200 plus rare species found last year in Papua New Guinea. Photos have been released via Conservation International and I just had to post the Tube-nosed bat photo, but you should check out the others as well because they are all really stunning.
It’s not official if this is a new species yet, nor does the bat have a name but the Tube-nosed bat is a fruit-eating bat. For more info check out the photos and quick summaries of some of the species found.
