Welcome to Texas

A quick post as the library timer ticks away. Texarkana- our entrance into Texas. We passed most likely the smallest post office and two coyote scouting out some horses on our way in. A ghost town on a Sunday- we entered on the 19th of December. It’s sunny, breezy and reached into the upper 70s today.

We’re planning our route South, mostly along the Texas/ Louisiana border, camping in various State Parks and National Forests. Then cutting West over to Austin once we hit the Big Thicket National Preserve.

Looking forward to waking up on Xmas morning in a tent- no dead tree placed in a house, just the live trees around us decorated with their true beauty.
